Ricepaddy’s Recipe for Social Media Marketing
Social media is Huge! You know it. We all know it. We all use it. And It is a virtual Fire Hose of traffic if you use it correctly!
FACT: There are more than 1.3 Billion people on Facebook at any given time.
Do you think you might be able to find a customer out of that many people? If you can’t then you’re doing it wrong. There are loads of marketers that just spam their links everywhere and accomplish nothing more than annoying the CRAP out of the community. This is not how it’s done! Sure, you might make a sale or two out of thousands or tens of thousands of attempts. But this is the “Monkey on a Typewriter” approach. The worst approach on the planet will make a sale if you do it for long enough to enough people. Those of us who have done sales call this The Law of Averages. And it Works! The sales Industry exists for a reason and it hangs its hat on the Law of Averages.
If you take the correct approach, your Law of Averages becomes far more powerful and more people that you engage with will be responsive to you and your offer. And you will make more sales by talking to the same number of people. If you want more sales, talk to more people or refine your approach. That’s it! I’ve been mentored by Super Affiliates that do NOTHING but market on social media and they make more in a month that most people make in a year! And the BEST PART is it’s free traffic.

- Facebook account or any social media
- Time to spend on it every day
- Positive Attitude!!

Make sure that your profile looks professional. People will take you more seriously if it does. Have a profile picture that is just you and no one else and looks professional. Make sure that your cover photo also is in line with your brand and image you wish to project. You can also make a profile just for business.
Action steps
- Join groups where people have an interest in what you offer
- Join at least 5
- Follow the rules
- Post at least once a day but no more than 5 at first
- Provide value
- Use photos
- Focus on helping
- Don’t try and sell with posts
- Have content that starts conversations in the comments
- Engage with other people’s posts
- Like, share and comment
- Send friend requests to people who respond to you or people that seem like they need help and especially the people who are asking for help
- No more than 20 requests in a day
- Send requests to those that comment on your post
- Send requests to those that respond to your comments
- Start conversations on messenger
- Get to know people and ask questions
- Don’t spam. Only send links with permission
- Be real. Be a friend
- Help, don’t sell
- Don’t be pushy!
- Share your own experience
- Every two weeks. Get rid of any friends that are not engaging with your content. You have a limit to how many friends you can have.
**Your ONE AND ONLY goal is to connect people with what they want. You are not trying to convince anyone or talk them into anything. If they want your offer, give them that. If they want to stop talking to you, give them that.
**When your Focus is on helping people and not on getting a commission, you will find much more success. It is also far more ethical.
**Spend time doing this every day and you will get customers.
