Correcting the wrong recipe for the Law of Attraction

For the longest time I had thought that the law of attraction had something to do with dating. Then about 20 years ago I discovered what it really meant and got interested. I’m sure you have Google so I’m not going to spend a bunch of time explaining what it is. In a nutshell, it is the manifestation of your thoughts into reality. In other words, what you think about is attracted into your experience. I am a big believer in the law of attraction but I’m not going to tell you what to believe. There are some that think as I do and there are some that think it’s a bunch of woo woo Hocus pocus. Either way it’s my belief that you’re using it whether you believe in it or not. It’s the same way that the law of gravity does not require your belief in order to work. Wanna test it? Jump off a building! Lol

It isn’t only a way to get the things that you want in life, but it’s also a mindset that makes you take responsibility for everything that has happened in your life. Surely knowing that everything good or bad that has happened in your life is a result of what you have focused your thoughts and emotions on will change your way of looking at the world! And the intensity of those thoughts and emotions make things happen even faster. Cool right?

I have been working on this “recipe” and refining it for over 20 years now. My exact recipe is something that most are not ready to understand, much less implement. This is why we are starting with baby steps and a basic recipe. My 2 previous articles/recipes are the foundation to making this recipe work. Go back and read them before reading further.

I truly think that more people would believe in and positively practice the Law of Attraction(LOA) if they just understood it better. I also think that many of its detractors don’t believe in it because they misunderstand it. Or rather, they are using the wrong recipe.

Example: If you want to make an omelette, you are going to have to use some eggs. Period. You can substitute the eggs, but you will have to expect the results to be different. You might come close but it’s rare ar best that you’ll say that it’s exactly the same as the real thing.

Even some that do believe have certain misconceptions and therefore do not get the results they want. Today I’m going to correct 5 WRONG ingredients and give you a much more effective basic “recipe” for your use of the law of attraction.

Here are those WRONG ingredients and how to correct them I will use an example of a scenario for clarification:

  1. Desire and no Work! – some think that LOA is a way of “not having to work”, that you somehow are going to sit on your bed, think about what you want and suddenly a helicopter full of super models (male or female) will fly over your backyard and said supermodels will repel down ropes carrying chests full of gold bullion and ice cold beer (we will call this the super model scenario going forward – I’m going to use this as an example). Sounds great, right!? Who wouldn’t want that?? But this is simply not how it works! The manifestation of your desires starts with a change in your own thoughts first! The universe gives you what you want by first by giving you more thoughts of how you will become the person that achieves the thing you want. I’ve never even heard of someone who has had their success just dropped into their backyard! Every successful person I know or read about had to work their tail off.  I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. If you don’t want to take action toward your desire, then you simply do not want it enough! I’ll get into the nitty-gritty of this in later articles but that’s the gist. You have to want something enough to want to work for it otherwise the intensity of those thoughts, like the super model scenario, will be very weak. Want it badly and work hard for it.
  2. Too specific – this is another reason why the super model scenario is very unlikely to manifest. I’m not saying it can’t, just that it’s probably not going to happen. The reason why is that someone who is thinking about the super model scenario doesn’t actually desire that specific scenario and likely it isn’t even that scenario at all that they want. Let’s break it down and go deep. The supermodel scenario actually represents a desire for money (the gold), for celebrating (the beer), for being in proximity to attractive people or sexual desire(super models) and for excitement (dropping out of a helicopter into your backyard). To go even deeper, it’s the feelings associated with those things that is what that person really wants. I mean, do they really care what shape the gold is in, where it was minted or if it’s even gold in the first place?!? Cash or bitcoin might give you the same feeling. The LOA will manifest thoughts, opportunities and experiences that give you more of those feelings that you have when you think about your desires, not necessarily the specific stuff you were thinking about. The whole reason why we want stuff in the first place is because of the feelings that it gives us.  Focus on how you want to feel in your life instead of focusing on stuff.
  3. Thinking about what you don’t want – something that you have to remember about your feelings is that it goes both ways. You can easily attract what you don’t want instead of what you do want. Here’s an example “I don’t want to date someone who’s ugly. I don’t want to be poor. I don’t want to be bored. I don’t want to be unhappy.” The focus of these thoughts are all about negative stuff even though someone thinking these thoughts might be trying to manifest what they do want. In fact, since they are thinking about all the stuff that makes them unhappy they will feel unhappy while they think that and that is the feeling that will manifest. It’s a subtle but profound shift in thinking. Focus only on what makes you feel good to think about.
  4. Weak Belief – this is a tough one but probably the most important factor. It’s hard to believe that you will get what you want! On a scale of 1 to 10, how much do you believe the super model scenario will happen to you today or ever? I would totally love it if that happens to me but I’m not holding my breath, I’m at a 2 at best! It’s really hard to feel good thinking about something that you don’t believe will ever happen and doubt is a feeling that gets manifested too because your lack of belief means you’re actually thinking about the lack of what you want which is something that you don’t want! (see point #3) On the other hand, it’s easy to believe that you’re going to feel good in the near future (point #2) because you always do sooner or later. I can say with absolute certainty that there’s never been a time in your life when you wanted something with power and intensity and had absolute belief that you would get it and it didn’t happen. Was it LOA? Was it you? Does it matter? The results of powerful desire and powerful belief are everywhere throughout history! It’s an unstoppable combination! I’ll get into how you can build and increase your belief another time but I suggest that if you have trouble believing in what you wish to manifest, then you should start with focusing on things that you want that you have a high belief of attaining and dream bigger as you go. High belief in the attainment of your desires will result in stronger feelings to manifest.
  5. Frequency and duration – so how often do you think about the super model scenario or something similar? Once a month? Once a year? Never? If and when you do, how long do you spend thinking about it? For myself, I don’t really think about scenarios where things that I want just fall into my lap. Thinking about stuff like that is a very weak signal to the universe. And why would I spend time thinking about something that I have a very low belief of attaining. I’m not going to feel good if I do and I only want to manifest good things. This is why the super model scenario is not only a waste of my time and energy but it’s actually counterproductive! If there’s something that you have a burning desire for and a high if not unshakable belief of attaining that makes you feel amazing when you think about it, then you’re probably going to think about it all the time. You might become obsessed! And that’s not a bad thing! What’s more worthy of your obsession than something that you truly desire? Find that one thing that is worthy of your obsession!
